MECO CANADA STATEMENT OF FAITH

The doctrinal basis of Middle East Christian Outreach Canada is the basic truths of Christianity:

1. The unity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead.

2. The Sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.

3. The finality of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God; conceived of the Holy Spirit; born of the Virgin Mary; living Word of the Godhead.

4. The Divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Holy Scriptures, as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

5. The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall, rendering them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

6. Redemption from guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the atoning death of Christ, our Representative and Substitute.

7. The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father.

8. The justification of the sinner by the grace of God only through faith in Christ.

9. The Personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit by whose power and presence sinners are regenerated, and believers are empowered to live the Christian life.

10. The one Holy Universal Church which is the body of Christ to which all believers belong.

11. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
